Sunet Cloud Documentation¶
Sunet Cloud is the Virtual Data Center (VDC) offering from Sunet. It provides infrastructure and platform services for Swedish universities, research institutions, and other Sunet customers. Instead of running your own hardware, you get virtual machines, container platforms, storage, and collaboration tools hosted on Sunet's own infrastructure in Sweden, billed on what you actually use.
This documentation is for you if you administer or build on a Sunet Cloud service: spinning up VMs, running a managed Kubernetes cluster, storing data in S3 or Ceph, sharing files in Drive, or running notebooks in JupyterHub.
Looking for something else? If you want to order a service or see pricing, start at the Sunet website. For account or billing questions, contact Sunet support. This site covers how to use the services once you have access.
Sections¶
- Ceph: object (S3), block, and filesystem storage primitives.
- Drive: Enterprise File Sync and Share, with collaboration as a first class citizen.
- JupyterHub: compute workloads, with or without Sunet Drive integration.
- Kubernetes: managed clusters, workloads and platform services.
- OpenStack: virtual machines, networking, block and object storage.
- Customer Portal: self-service for projects, clusters, credentials, and billing exports.
