Downgrade your sync client on Mac, Windows or Linux¶
Occasionally it happens that a new version of the sync client does not work as expected, in which case it might be necessary to downgrade to another version.
- Uninstall your current Nextcloud sync client.
- Go to the Nextcloud client release page: https://github.com/nextcloud-releases/desktop/releases
- Click on the “Assets” of the version you want to install and download the package that fits your operating system
- On Windows, this usually is an .msi file. E.g. Nextcloud-3.13.4-x64.msi
- On Windows, this usually is a .pkg file. E.g., Nextcloud-3.13.4.pkg
- On Linux, this usually is an .AppImage file. E.g., Nextcloud-3.13.4-x86_64.AppImage
- Install the version you just downloaded.
- When the application starts and asks you to update, select “Skip this version” to prevent the sync client to update to the most recent version.
